Magma for Symphony Orchestra.
First performance May 26, 2000.
Magma is based on a long process with violent eruptions. The piece was written for the Swedish Radio Orchestra. The premiere was broadcast live on Swedish Radio.
Corona for Symphony Orchestra.
First performance June 6, 1996.
Corona was written for the Symphony orchestra at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm.
Mechanica for non-professional orchestra.
First performance January 26, 1997.
Mechanica was commisioned as a piece suitable for non-professional orchestras. It was premiered by Luleå Orkesterförening.
Polykrom for chamber orchestra.
First performance in November 1992.
The title Polykrom alludes to the idea of creating color contrasts in the piece. In the form they are evoked by using varied orchestra settings in the sections of the piece, and by focusing on different solo instruments (starting with the flute, then the trumpet, oboe, and trombone).
The piece has been performed by several orchestras in several countries, including Sweden, Norway, Finland, France, Canada and USA. It has also been broadcast on Swedish national radio and TV (live), and also by American and French radio.
