Below are some sound files (mp3) with my music. Click on a title to listen to the file.
Cracks and Corrosion I for clarinet, violin, viola, cello and piano.
Cracks and Corrosion is dedicated to Ensemble Ader. The title reflects the character of the music. The sonorous music in the introduction is full of "cracks", from which a melodic line in the clarinet slowly rises. The pure line enters section where it gets distorted (corroded), either in terms of timbre quality, or through the expansion of the pitch material by the sudden use of micro tonality.
Cracks and Corrosion II for guitar and live electronics.
Cracks and Corrosion II is built on the structure of Cracks and Corrosion I (for clarinet, violin, viola, cello and piano). However, the music is reinterpreted to suit the mixed media, and Cracks and Corrosion II is an independent piece. Cracks and Corrosion II is the result of a collaboration with the guitaist Mårten Falk.
Polykrom for chamber ensemble (1111 111 perc stringquintet).
The title Polykrom alludes to the idea of creating color contrasts in the piece. In the form they are evoked by using varied orchestra settings in the sections of the piece, and by focusing on different solo instruments (starting with the flute, then the trumpet, oboe, and trombone).
Refractions II for violin, clarinet and violoncello.
Refractions is about the contrast between intense action and development, and the absence of transformation. Sometimes the music freeze on a single chord or small motif, sometimes the melodic and harmonic layers develop on a high speed.
Det tredje perspektivet (The third perspective) for tape.
Det Tredje Perspektivet explores sounds in motion. A special computer application was developed to simulates distance and doppler effect by synchronizing pitch, EQ, volume and panning for each sound. All recorded sounds in the piece derive from a cello.
Mechanica for non-professional orchestra.
Mechanica was commisioned as a piece suitable for non-professional orchestras.
