Whirl of Leaves for flute and harp.

Comissioned by Svenska Rikskonserter. Dedicated to Camilla Hoitenga and Héloïse Dautry.

Inspired by whirling leaves during some autumns days 2006, the piece is full of energy sharing the leaves' fast movement in the wind.

Trente for solo cello.

Composed for Alexis Descharmes 30th birthday. First perfomrance March 3, 2007 at Cite de la Musique in Paris.


Vivos voco for solo guitar.

First performance April 26, 2005. Comissioned by the Swedish Arts Grants Committee.

Vivos voco, "I call the living", is a common inscription on church bells. The piece is the result of a collaboration with Mårten Falk.


Cracks and Corrosion I for clarinet, violin, viola, violoncello and piano.

First performance April 4, 2001. Comissioned by Theatre du Chatelet, Paris.

Cracks and Corrosion is dedicated to Ensemble Ader. The title reflects the character of the music. The sonorous music in the introduction is full of "cracks", from which a melodic line in the clarinet slowly rises. The pure line enters section where it gets distorted (corroded), either in terms of timbre quality, or through the expansion of the pitch material by the sudden use of micro tonality.


Danquah Circle for wind quintett and piano.

Commisioned by Östersunds blåskvintett and Love Derwinger. First performance September, 1998.

Danquah Circle was composed during one month in the summer 1997. The instruments are given distinct roles, either as soloists or as accompanists. The character of the music changes during the piece from very soft and low-voiced to very rhythmical.


Refractions II for violin, clarinet and violoncello.

First performance May 10, 1997.

Refractions is about the contrast between intense action and development, and the absence of transformation. Sometimes the music freeze on a single chord or small motif, sometimes the melodic and harmonic layers develop on a high speed.


Refractions I for violin and piano.

First performance in April 1996.

Refractions I is the original version of Refraction I and II.


Sabda for windoctet and tablas.

First performance in 1991.

Sabda was inspired by Indian raga music. It was composed for Hans Ek Chamber Band.
