Max/msp patches for compositions The live electronic part for the below pieces are performed from the Max/msp software. The links below contain the latest versions of the necessary Max/msp patches. Max patch for Amanzule Voices (version 2.412) (154.2 MB) This is an updated version for Max version 8, and it will also run on older versions of Max, as well as on both Macintosh and Windows computers. No 3rd part objects are required. See instructions in the score for the piece. Max patch for Cracks and Corrosion II (version 1.01) (53.4 MB) This Max patch needs Max version 7 (64-bit mode) or later (tested on version 8). It runs on Macintosh and Windows computers (only Mac tested in concerts). It uses fiddle~ and 5 of Peter Elsea's Lobjects. See instructions in the score for the piece. Max patch for Cracks and Corrosion II (version 1.02) (53.4 MB) This version is updated for Macintosh arm64 processors (M1 and M2). For Windows computers, use version 1.01. Max patch for Ice Fog (version 1.04) (307.9 MB) This Max patch has only been tested on Macintosh computers, and runs with version 8 of Max/msp (64-bit). See instructions in the score for the piece. It was originally developed for version 5 of Max: in order to run in 32-bit mode, some 3rd part externals need to be changed. Max patch for At the Floe Edge (version 1.18) (589 MB) The Max patch has only been tested on Macintosh computers, but it might run on a PC computer as well. The patch runs under version 8 of Max/msp (64-bit) and uses the following external objects: sigmund~ (included in the download), spat5.spat~ and spat5.oper (from IRCAM). This link contains one optional patch for a slave computer that replaces a printed score by displaying the score on a screen for the performers in real time. Max patch for Sundogs (version 1.0) (678 MB) This Max patch has only been tested on Macintosh Intel computers, with version 6 of Max/msp. It will most likely run under Max version 5. It will also most likely work on Windows computers. Max patch for A Ghazal, 8-channel (version 1.01) (1.66 GB) This Max patch works on Mac or Windows computers, with version 7 or 8 of Max. Max patch for A Ghazal, 4-channel (version 1.01) (1.09 GB) Only use this version if an 8-channel speaker system is not available. The 8-channel version is recommended. Max patch for Enclosed, (version 1.01) (127 kB) This Max patch runs on version 7 or later of Max. It was developed on a Macintosh computer, but should also run on a Windows computer (it uses the fiddle~ 3rd part object). Max patch for Engrammes, (version 1.1) (122 MB) This Max patch has only been tested on Macintosh computers, with version 8 of Max (it should also work with version 7). It should also run on a Windows computer. If uses the fiddle~ 3rd part object (version for Macintosh M1 processor is included). Max patch for Mimetisme, (version 1.05) (165 MB) This Max patch has only been tested on Macintosh computers, with version 8 of Max. It uses the multiconvolve~ 3rd part object from the HISS tools. The patches should also run on a Windows computer (not tested). |
