"Örjan Sandred's Amanzule Voices is a blistering piece for cello and electronics. The cello saws and plucks as the pointed, electronic exclamations buzz and hum around it."
American Record Guide, Nov/Dec 2009
"Sandred creates a piece of high drama, informed with an acute sense of passing time on the rhythmical and structural levels."
exclaim.ca, Sept 23, 2009 about Amanzule Voices.
"Sandred's style is more expressionistic and splintered, at times even brutal."
Uppsala Nya Tidning, Aug 18, 2009 about Cracks and Corrosion II.

In June 2009 the CD Cracks and Corrosion was released on the Navona lable (NV5814). The CD features five of my compositions.
Whirl of Leaves, the last track on the CD, was recorded during its world premiere January 30, 2009 at the UltraSchall Festival in Sophiensaele, Berlin, Germany. Flutist Camilla Hoitenga (USA/Germany) and harpist Heloise Dautry (France) did an impressive job with this very hard piece.
Cracks and Corrosion II for guitar and live electronics was recorded on August 4, 2008 in Nysätra Kyrka, a medival church in Uppland, Sweden. Mårten Falk plays the guitar on the CD.
Amanzule Voices was recorded on September 7, 2008 in Eva Clare Hall in Winnipeg, Canada. Cellist Yuri Hooker spent a very late evening in the hall to avoid the noise from the otherwise busy building.
The first track on the CD, Cracks and Corrosion I, was already recorded back in 2001. A group of Swedish musicians worked during some intense days in June with the studio recording of this piece.
